Most Domain Names that PurplePaw register on behalf of clients are used in conjunction with a Hosting Account in order to host a web page and email. Domain Services provide you with another way of using a domain name, and come FREE with all domain registrations PurplePaw manage.
Domain Aliasing
Domain Aliasing is the term applied when using multiple domains on a single website*. If you have a website at www.yourcompany.com, and you also own yourcompany.co.uk which is aliased to the hosting package for yourcompany.com, the website and email services will work regardless of whether a site visitor or email sender uses the .com or the .co.uk domain name.

Domain Forwarding
Domain Forwarding is a great way to take advantage of cheap domain registration rates and provide direct and easy to remember links into your most popular products or services. An example of this would be where a company registers bestsellingproduct.co.uk, and configures a domain forwarding service to automatically forward visitors to www.theircompany.co.uk/products/productname.
Domain Parking (aka Domain Holding)
Domain Parking is what you do with a domain name you don't want to use ... yet! When a client registers a domain for a project they are starting to plan, or a business/event that doesn't need it's own site at the moment, domain parking puts up a simple page that says "Coming soon", or words to that effect. Domains using this Domain Holding service can be upgraded to full hosting at any time, and as this service is FREE there is no reason to delay securing your domain name today!
Nameserver Control
Finally, for customers that have their own servers, or Register & Manage their domains through PurplePaw but host them elsewhere, with Nameserver Control we can point domain names to non-PurplePaw nameservers as needed. If you don't understand what this means, don't worry; it's not applicable to most customers.
